The inspiration for these gates, came directly from the customer's home. By using the same arch
and 'sun-ray' element, from their windows, in the gate panels, we managed to create a flowing design that compliments
their yard.

Exterior railings can be as simple or as decorative as you desire.
There are typically two styles to choose from: Handrails attach
to your home or wall, using
mounting brackets. The railing itself is available in round, square, decorative flat or moulded cap. Steprails attach
to the surface or outside edge of the steps and, depending on the height of your steps, they can be fabricated with or without spindles. Additional elements, such as trellises, may be added to extend upward, to your roofline.

|
Looking for a "french cafe" style, our customers
designed an arch railing with scroll window
accents to set off the patio area in front of their
home. To complete the look, they added an
eavestrough trellis at the side of their yard.
|
Appealing to the eye, yet functional.
An eavestrough trellis is the perfect
solution to slippery sidewalks. Your
eavestrough goes over the top of the
trellis and down the outside edge.
This allows water to run into a grassed
area, rather than on your sidewalk.

Security & Style Do Go
Hand-In-Hand
|
You can make your home or business more secure, without making it look like a prison. (above) Simple
scroll clusters added dimension
to the security panels on this store front, while putting an stop to the regular
break-ins. (right) Medallions, ball tops and custom rings, created
a floral look to this downtown, Saskatoon apartment building.

There is no limiting what you can
do with a gate design. Have fun,
be creative and you'll end up with
a truly unique look.

The best solution to having
wrought iron accents, without
buying a new gate. Decorative
spindles have been turned
into a wrought iron panel,
giving this old gate a new look.

Backyard Gates & Fences
Access to your backyard can be an important factor in the design process. The addition of a gate
or fence does not have to limit access. Below are some design ideas that not only create appeal, but also allow for larger
openings.
|
|
This 38" garden gate has a 12" extension panel,
to serve as a "walk-in" entrance to the back yard.
Extension panels work well when the space you're
working with is larger than the desired gate panel.
Rather than installing a fixed fence section and gate, this customer opted for a 11 1/2 ft double
panel gate. The right side is pinned, so that it doesn't open when you use the walk through gate, yet still allows
for winter parking of campers or boats.
|
On the other side of the house, a gate fills
the entire 66" opening, to enable movement
of larger items that would not fit through a
standard gate opening.
The arch top design (above) offers the
same conveniences of a driveway gate,
but the right side is a solid, removable
panel that simply lifts off
the pin system,
when access is required.

HOMESTEAD MARKERS ~ Preserving Your Family Heritage
This marker was custom made and installed at the Smuts
Corner
(Hwy 41 and Grid 767), for John Shutiak. The site is the original
location of the family homestead and the marker depicts
the
history of his family, for more than 100 years.
Plaques have been attached to include each generation. John's Grandparents, Wasyl
& Anna, are at centre point, with their
children listed on the two plaques, below them. John's father,
Fred, then moves to another plaque, along side his wife, Dora and
their children. The final extension is John himself, with his family.
A small piece of Smuts history will forever be remembered here,
as the lives of 4 generation are depicted.
